“The Making of Isaac Hunt”

Today I want to focus on Mrs. Hargroves, first novel, The Making of Isaac Hunt. This novel is a companion novel of Loving Cee Cee Johnson. You won’t be lost reading Cee Cee’s story before Isaac’s, but his story is as compelling as hers. Tomorrow, I’ll be posting an excerpt from The Making of Isaac Hunt. Here’s what others are saying about Linda Leigh Hargrove‘s work:

“Not since reading Sharon Ewell Foster’s Passing by Samaria have I been as impressed by how an author deals genuinely and authentically with issues of racial prejudice. Linda doesn’t shy away from “touchy” subjects, but they are not there to make a point, they are there as part of the story. Since her bio states that she has co-led racial reconciliation discussion groups and conducted panels on racism in the church, this authenticity shouldn’t be surprising.”  Sheryl Root, TitleTrakk.com

Now, a little about The Making of Isaac Hunt

Isaac’s determined to uncover the truth about the birthmother he never knew. He’s tired of living a lie.

His desperate search for the truth takes him to Pettigrew. This small town ruled by the powerful white Benson family is shrouded in secrets—secrets about Isaac that some townspeople are willing to kill for.

Will he find his real identity—or just a whole lot of trouble?
