Something for Everyone in May

You’re all familiar with the Sandbox Festival. It’s going to be absolutely fun. There will be lots of contest from now to the end of August. Each month I’ll post a rundown of the author’s featured and the contest I’m hosting.

My regular readers know I have one featured author every month. During the Sandbox Festival I’ll have two featured authors. One for parents and one for kids.

Featured Authors:

These authors will be featured once a week in May with a drawing at the end of month. Be sure and leave a comment on every post this month of the featured authors, and you’ll be entered to win.

f0820_l11hr-0c964z8_01_1_imagecd_20080512_0308pm_hensohnlLaura Lee Heinsohn is the author of  Cracking the cracking-the-parenting-code-300Parenting Code: 6 Clues to Solving the Mystery of Meeting Your Child’s Needs.

As the founder of the Bee-Bop Kids, an international children’s performing arts evangelistic team, Laura has had the opportunity to share the love of Christ while traveling around the world. She is also the founder of the Family Bureau of Investigation Relationship Workshops, and a one-on-one parenting coach.

Married to her best friend Randy, they have two children, seven grandchildren, and have parented eight Brazilian exchange students. Laura and her family call Oregon home. Visit her website to learn more.

shelleyadina1Shelley Adina is the author of the popular teen series, All About Us.   The first book in the series is a 2009 Christy Award finalist. Her books deal with typical teen problems, and the solutions are Bible based. She does all this without being preachy or superficial.

She wrote her first teen novel when she was 13. It was rejected by the literary publisher to whom she sent it, but he did say she knew how to tell a story. That was enough to keep her going through the rest of her adolescence, a career, a move to another country, a B.A. in Literature, an M.A. in Writing Popular Fiction, and countless manuscript pages.

Shelley is a world traveler and pop culture junkie with an incurable addiction to designer handbags. She writes books about fun and faith–with a side of glamour. Between books, Shelley loves traveling, playing the piano and Celtic harp, watching movies, and making period costumes. You can learn more about her here.
